Merry Christmas!!! -Acrylic Marbling

Hello friends,

Its that time of the year again and most of us are busy in preparation for the big Holiday Season.... It also makes me look into the year that was and other random things that happened or did not happen... (like me loosing a few pounds) or this new city that has become my new home...Well I can just go on and on. Coming back to this merry time this month at the Happy Little Stampers the theme is 'ANYTHING GOES' now I wonder is this an easy theme to work with or a difficult one!! I don't know!! makes me wonder what should I make as my mind gets bombarded with things to do and it becomes difficult for me to choose... Does this happen to you too?

Scrap time: Creative Time

Hello Crafty people,

Cash envelopes are very popular in India for gifting on weddings and other occassions as well.
This is a fun project that i decided to do as my pile of scraps was overflowing and i desperately needed to bring it under control, also I had a ton of chocolate brown paper that I had mistakenly bought without realising that it was not cardstock but just some 175gsm paper. This idea made me use both these and turned out to be a fun project.

Decoupage - Tissue paper reverse decoupage on textured glass

Hey Crafty folks,

This month over at Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge theme is "TISSUE". When I though about this I immediately thought of decoupage as I am already in the middle of a projects for a friend so I though may be I could share what I was doing already but then I had another idea and that was to decoupage a textured glass plate that has been sitting on my dining table service as a fruit basket and many times I thought of getting rid of it but you know how we crafters are and its so difficult to get rid of things so i decided to upcycle it into something pretty so technically this project is a reverse decoupage...

Shopping my stash!!

Hello crafty people,

Recently I have been going through my craft supplies and realized that I had too many Pattern papers that I have not been using for a while as I usually use them only to make Mini Albums and have not made one in quite a while so I thought I will make some cards and some other stuff using my pattern papers.
To make things interesting I took out 10 sheets of pattern paper from a pack and decided to make as many cards I can with the same 10 sheets of paper without keeping any scraps. Here are the first 3 and more will follow soon

DIY embossing buddy super easy

Hello friends,

I have been doing a video series on my you tube channel that talks about making craft supplies at home. Now not everything cannot be made at home but there are certain things that you can definitely find solutions for around the house and it will cost you next to nothing. I love to find such things to do as then i can slurge on things that i really need. This week we are doing the DIY Embossing buddy!!
Most paper crafters and especially card makers do a lot of heat embossing and thus want their heat embossing to be as crisp as possible with least amount of stress and fuss. To this purpose the embossing buddy or the powder tool comes super handy as it removes any static and prepared the surface to be embossed such that the embossing powder shall stick only to areas where there is stamped image and not all over the surface.

Key Holder- LOVE

Hello friends,

This time I have a very interesting project to share with you as it was basically inspired by a friend and I had the opportunity to meet her recently and i have come really love her work.
This month over at the Happy Little  stampers we are talking about textures and this will be my take on the same, hope you will like what you see.

To start I had a piece of MDF from one of my old projects and since I do like the look of wood Rupas project felt perfect. So I used some gesso with a pallette knife to create a woodgrain like texture.

Next i added some chalk paints to create the wood effect. for the look of the planks i added some lines with a mix of dark brown and black lines.

Then I used a decoupage paper to decoupage some flowers and used some script stamps to create a blended look.

Next I used some chipboard alphas that i heat embossed with layers of golden embossing powder to create a metal like look for the alphas and then stuck them to the board.

Finally i used some old keys, bent them and painted them with a similar gold colour as the word and stuck them on to the board creating my own key holder to grace my home.

DIY Texture paste and Gesso

Hello Friends,

Today we are discussing about a very basic supply if you are into any kind of mixed media, art journaling, alter art or painting and I am pretty sure that most of us are familiar with the term GESSO. For those of you who are not yet very familiar with this - meaning -is a white paint mixture consisting of a binder mixed with chalkgypsumpigment, or any combination of these.[1] It is used in artwork as a preparation for any number of substrates such as wood panels, canvas and sculpture as a base for paint and other materials that are applied over it.

DIY Textured Paper

HELLO Friends!!

As paper crafters our first love is for papers and as far as I know most of us like to collect papers of various kinds for our stash and I am sure we can always find room for more of it. It is also fun playing with paper and so i would love to share a very simple process that can help you make your own textured paper that can be used for various purposes like stamping, die-cutting, decoupage, gift wrapping or on your mixed media projects as it will give the freedom to choose your own colors and sometimes even the designs. I am sure most of you may be aware of the process may be using it regularly but for those who have not tried it here i will share a video and also a written tutorial.

DIY glitter Sticker that do not rub off !!!

Hello Friends,

I am back again with another tutorial on how you can create your own glitter stickers. Glitter is something i do not like to use much as it creates a mess and is difficult to clean or maybe I am the messy one coz no matter how much i try it gets all over the place, my clothes and face too. so i try to avoid using it very often but when i do i like to create a bunch of things for use later too...

Sometime back i had put a tutorial on die cut inlay technique where i had used glitter so i decided to use that same method to create stickers so that i can keep them ready for use later. Here i sharing with you the way i did made the cardstock stickers and also how i made dimensional glitter embellishments to use on projects.
