Messy Thanks!!

Hello Friends,
It is time for another challenge at Happy Little Stampers Challenge blog and this month the theme is MESSY, and when I thought about what to make it totally messed my head as I had various ideas popping in my head and it became difficult to decide what to do and I did start a few projects and experimented with different products however nothing turned out half as decent as it seemed to be in my head and I was running out of time to play more with some ideas so decided to go back to a trusted technique and product that i knew would not be easy to mess up.

I have bern thinking of using this bleeding technique and this seemed to be the perfect opportunity to try it out. I stamped the Altnew Floral image using the Misty Stamping tool on a piece of 5x7 inches Acrylic paper(I would have preferred a water colour cardstock but could not find any in my stash); I also stamped the leaves outline from the same set using the Archival Ink.

Once the stamping was done, I used distress oxide inks with a blending tool to add some colour, will list the colours i used in the supplies list at the end of the post. I used the purple first added loads of water till it starts to bleed then as I am impatient I used my heat gun for drying in between the colour layers,

I used a blue next and finally a green and dried each layer before adding another colour. There was no consideration for colouring within the outlines making it a messy colouring. When everything was dry, I cut it down to 4x5.25 inches and layered it on a piece of 4 1/8x 5 3/8 inches layering card stock in purple colour. Finally I added it to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches note card or card base.

I embellished the cards with a die-cut embossed sentiment Thanks and added a sentiment strip too added splatters in purple and black to add more interest to the background.
