Die cut Inlay card with a Twist!!

Hello friends!!

The festive season is here and everyone is gearing up for the celebrations hope you all are having a wonderful time creating.
Amidst all the festivities there are times when i reach a point where i go blank and usually when that happens i like to sit down and look at the sky and how it changes from hour to hour. the colours the textures everything is so amazing and that is what inspired me to do theses two cards.

I started with the night sky first but had no colours that i could use but i stated off with the tumbled glass distress ink and then added some lilac finally for the darkest shade i used faded Jeans distress ink, but was not happy as the sky was not dark enough..... so i went around the card stock with black soot and then things started to come together a little.

Next for the stars i went with my favourite technique that is adding splashes so i used some gesso with water to make the splashes however i also needed some shine, added some water to the silver acrylic powder to get tiny silver splashes.

now that piece was ready i also decided to make another panel where i blended another piece of water colour card stock with yellows orange and purple to get a sunset look, list of all the supplies is at the end of this post.

Then cut both the panels with the second largest die in the Peek-a-boo designs stitched rectangle die-set.Also cut 2 frames a gold and a silver using the largest and the third dies from the set. I also used the 'Dream' and 'Inspire' word dies to cut out the words from the inked panels.

Cut a piece of craft foam slightly smaller than the panel and applied double sided tape to one side of it. Removed the backing from the tape and adhere the panel to the foam. The space where the word was cut out was sticky so i added the small pieces from the die cut shat it looks like a word not the silhouette, for the rest of the sticky part i added a golden and silver glitter. rubbed it thoroughly with my bone folder and then tapped off the excess, this is the die- cut inlay technique that is very popular  right now. (I have shown this part in a video attached below!)

After the glitter went and traced the outline of the word dream as it was not showing up ver clearly. Also added a few star shapes with a silver pen.

Finally to finish Added the frames on the card base and then added the panel.

heres some pics

Hope you enjoy it.
