No bulk shaker cash envelopes

Hello Crafters,

As you must be aware that shaker cards continue to be popular in the card making community and  there is hardly any occassion that you cannot make a shaker card for but its also true that we here in India usually give out more cash envelopes than cards. This inspired me to make a combination of the two, and with our love for bling and shine i am sure you would love it too. You may also use it to give gift vouchers.

Now before i begin let me tell you that i do not have any fancy tools for this and neither did i want to add any bulk to my envelope so what did i do??? i used a clear pocket. we shall talk about that more in a bit. so lets begin.

First of all i picked a regular gift envelope (you can make one too but i think its just easier to buy them as they are pretty economical, you can buy a pack of 10 for anywhere between 30-50 bucks). Once i had my envelope chosen i next decided the pattern paper i wanted to use (you may also use a card stock in any colour of you choice).

Next i chose a die in a fancy shape and made a window in my pattern paper piece. If you do not have a die cutting machine you can make a circle or square or rectangle shape and cut it out with your scissors, you may also use punches for cutting out the shapes. If you are not happy with the basic shapes you trace or draw any shape you fancy and cut it out, basically you need a window; shape and size are determined by your choice and the size of your clear pocket and the envelope size. As long as you keep these things in mind you can make shape that you want.

Here is a video that will show you the process along with some pictures. You can further decorate them with other punched flowers or quilling to enhance it.

Hope you find this information useful and I will appreciate your feedback.
