DIY Metallic texture on cards NO perfect pearls no foil

Hello everyone!!!

Its almost the end of the week and its been really hectic, but i am looking forward to the weekend yay!!!

So here i am going to share a tip with you that i found gave me great results without spending a bomb. Some time ago I saw a video by Jennifer McGuire:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRI9znNZsyg. It was a great technique  and i wanted to try it immediately but i did not have the main ingredient!!! Perfect pearls Pigment powder.

Hmmm so i decided to try something that was already in my stash and had the same texture like the pearl powder: The metallic acrylic powders that most crafters here in India use on murals, pots and paintings etc. Camel an Fevicryl Hobby Ideas both have these metallic powders so its readily available in most stationary and art supplies stores. The other advantage is that these are priced much lower that the pearl pigment powder.

In the video you will find the visual process.  Once the metallic piece was ready i then took each of them through my Big shot embossing machine sandwiched in an embossing folder. If you do not have an embossing/ die cutting machine you can easily use a embossing tool or other pointed but blunt tool to make designs from the back of the paper (Last card).

To finish of the cards i used some die cut and embossed sentiments, glossy accents and wink of stella.

I also tried this on acetate and used Versamark ink to act as glue to hold the powder. Listed here are the supplies that I used on individual cards.
